B.S.R.S. Designed to Help Radiologic Technologists Advance Careers
Virginia Beach, VA – ECPI University is now accepting applications for its new online Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences (B.S.R.S.) program. Developed using the American Society of Radiologic Technology’s (ASRT) curriculum guidelines, this program provides a broader knowledge base and skill set beyond the entry-level radiographer.
As healthcare becomes more dependent on interdisciplinary teams, ECPI University’s B.S.R.S. program can help radiologic technologists develop key skills required for advancement within the profession, including leadership, communication, research methodology, and critical thinking.
Moreover, a B.S.R.S. may help graduates command higher salaries. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for Radiologic Technologists is $56,670. However, the BLS reports that the top 10 percent earn more than $81,660 per year.
Ultimately, earning a B.S.R.S. can allow radiologic technologists to pursue a master’s degree and become Radiological Assistants (RA) which are experienced, registered radiographers who have obtained additional education and certification that qualifies them to serve as radiologist extenders.
