Once a year, ECPI University joins with educators, business, and organizations around the world in the recognition of National Nurses Week.
This week is a time where the University can celebrate the significant contributions of our nurses, whether they’re learning, teaching, or working in the field, and the tremendous impact they have on patient care.
For Nurses Week 2023, ECPI University created a series of events to honor nurses, acknowledge their achievements, and provide support through scholarships and recognition programs.
Nurses Week Celebration
From May 6th to May 12th, ECPI University hosted a series of events and activities to celebrate Nurses Week in the past. The celebration included seminars, panel discussions, and interactive workshops aimed at fostering professional development, promoting collaboration, and recognizing the outstanding work of nurses within the ECPI University community.
DAISY Foundation Partnership
ECPI University recently became a proud partner of The DAISY Foundation this year, highlighting the university’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating the outstanding contributions of our nursing educators. Read more on page 19.
Nurses Scholarship Competition
As part of the Nurses Week celebration, ECPI University held a Nursing Scholarship Contest for the second year. This competition provided an opportunity for nursing students to showcase their skills, knowledge, and dedication to the nursing profession. Participants submitted essays that demonstrated their commitment to patient care, leadership potential, and innovative thinking in the field of nursing. The scholarship competition not only recognized and rewarded exceptional students but also helped alleviate some of the financial burden associated with pursuing a nursing education.
As we reflect on past Nurses Week celebrations at ECPI University, we are reminded of the meaningful events that honored and celebrated the invaluable contributions of nurses. Nurses continue to play a pivotal role in healthcare, and ECPI University stands alongside them, recognizing their outstanding achievements and commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients in need.
