MSCS521 Security Architecture & Design
This course will provide students with advanced knowledge of designing and evaluating secure digital systems. Students will analyze security architectures to identify vulnerabilities, integrate key principles such as least privilege and segmentation, and assess the effectiveness of frameworks like NIST, ISO, and CIS. The course explores architectural models, including zero trust and layered defense, to address organizational security needs and ensure regulatory compliance. Students will be able to develop secure architectural designs, mitigate potential threats, and implement effective incident response strategies to safeguard critical assets.
