MHI605 Advanced Health Informatics and Data Science

This course reviews the current use of information technology in the clinical and management practice for the healthcare delivery enterprise. The student will learn to apply techniques of data retrieval and extraction, such as natural language processing and text mining. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify terminology, strategies, and utilization of IT as key components in the delivery of patient care in various healthcare environments.
