A radiology technician may also help the radiologist by carrying out various tests, doing advanced preparations and carrying out administrative duties like maintaining the records of patients and planning work schedules. On the other hand, a radiology technologist can perform computed tomography, mammography, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
The two might be required to work during the weekends and evenings depending on the place they are working at since different institutions have different working terms. They assist the physician with the captured data images and help to run a correct diagnosis. They may work in medical clinics, hospitals or private practice depending on their preference or job availability.
Educational Requirements for Radiographers
