What Can I Do with a Hospitality Management Degree?

Restaurant Manager

From budget motels and RV parks to high-end resorts and cruise ships, different operations have different lodging management needs, but the most important requirement is the same: make sure guests are happy, comfortable, and safe throughout their stay.

Human Resources Manager

When most people think about the hospitality industry, they think about paying guests and customers. However, you can be a hospitality manager without interacting with customers at all during your workday. Most hospitality managers must coordinate and supervise their employees while managing customers' needs, but as a human resources manager, you would focus solely on the employees. Are you a natural leader who can communicate well with others? You may enjoy working on the HR side of a casino, hotel, or restaurant chain. After all, hospitality is fundamentally about serving people and resolving or preventing conflicts, and HR managers fill these roles for colleagues, allowing staff to better serve guests as a result.
