Rocket League Match Goes to Davenport University, ECPI University Rams Prepare for the Next Challenger

The ECPI University Rams kicked off its NACE Rocket League Championship season with a 2-3 loss in a back-and-forth affair to Davenport University Monday.

Game 1 was a 6-4 Rams victory thanks to a hat trick from Christian "Uxority" Loran. Uxority was consistently in the right place at the right time to capitalize on Davenport mistakes. He also scored the goal of the game, a double tap to make it 4-3. Michael "X804X MikeyT" Torres came up with assists on four of the six goals and scored another.

Davenport won Game 2 in a low-scoring game, 2-1. The RAMS held their pressure in Davenport's side of the field, outshooting the Panthers 9-4. Davenport scored the winning goal with six seconds left in the match.

The RAMS bounced back with a 3-2 win in Game 3. Uxority had a hand in all three goals, scoring two and assisting Christopher "DeCareaux9" DeCareaux. Uxority was able to setup DeCareaux9 with a solid pass play.

The Panthers took Game 4 2-0, shutting down the Rams' high pressure attack. Davenport let the RAMS triple commit and scored on an open net to seal the victory.

Davenport clinched the comeback with a 1-0 victory against the Rams. Each of the Rams players registered at least 2 shots and were in the Panthers' side of the field for a majority of the match, but couldn't find the back of the net.
