More Lexington Medical Center Jobs Coming with New Expansion!

At its recent groundbreaking ceremony, Lexington Medical Center celebrated a major clinical expansion. Officials say its new 545,000-sqaure-foot patient care tower will be the most advanced in South Carolina.

With nearly 500 beds, the 10-story tower will feature patient rooms, operating rooms, and educational facilities for staff and community members. “Our medical staff, employees and volunteers understand and embrace the belief that Lexington Medical Center is here to serve our friends and neighbors,” says Tod Augsburger, president & CEO of Lexington Medical Center in a hospital news release. “The hospital is woven into the fabric of Lexington County and the Midlands. This clinical expansion will allow us to take care of our community for many years to come.”

To do that, Lexington Medical Center will need to expand its workforce. Among the positions it expects to fill will be nurses, phlebotomists, and EKG technicians. Working in a hospital like this can be a highly-rewarding experience and those who are interested can get started at ECPI University’s Columbia campus.
