Meet Ben Self, a two-time graduate of ECPI University.
Ben received both his Bachelor’s and his Master’s Degrees in Business Administration, completing his MBA in December of 2022. His motivation to pursue higher education stemmed from his desire to advance in his career and be the first person in his family to obtain a master’s degree. Both of his degrees have “opened doors that would not have been opened without them,” Ben said. His MBA has opened opportunities for administration roles that Ben is considering for the future.
Currently, Ben is the Head Coach and Athletic Director at a Leach Public School in Oklahoma. He schedules all the games and maintains a positive environment for the students. His passion for coaching and teaching shines through his role where he strives to be a positive role model for his students. Ben states, “My passion is coaching, and watching the kids succeed is priceless.”
Ben’s favorite part about attending ECPI was his friendly and supportive professors. “They were always available to help and interact with the students,” he said. For ECPI students, Ben advises, “Get a good schedule that works for yourself and your family. Stay positive and do not procrastinate.”
