Campus Spotlight

Congratulations to the ECPI University – Greenville campus, who recently won the “Top Education Team” award for the March for Babies Walk benefiting the March of Dimes at their annual awards ceremony.

“The Greenville campus raised more money than any other education team for 2023,” shared University Partnerships Development Manager, Donna Dennis. “It was also the most the Greenville campus has ever raised in its seven years of participation –$6,200!”

How did they do it?

For the April walk, the Greenville campus worked hard to raise money by bringing in food trucks, selling pizza vouchers, and creating friendly competitions between nursing cohorts. The faculty and staff even held a cutest baby picture competition, and for a $20, they could anonymously add their own baby picture for students to vote on. It was a hit with students!

Dennis, along with Campus President Karen Burgess and Campus Director of Financial Assistance Ursula Singleton, attended the recent March of Dimes awards ceremony together. In addition to being recognized as the top educational team, the trio was also presented with the “Legacy Supporter” award for the campus’ ongoing support of the nonprofit.

“We had a great group of nursing students that participated in the walk this year,” said Dennis. “Not only did they raise money, participate in the walk, but they also volunteered at the event’s Kickoff Luncheon. The March of Dimes staff made it a point to share with me that our students were the best group of volunteers they had ever had.”
