About the Area

San Antonio is one of the largest cities in Texas and serves as a major city center supporting a diverse economy with a strong presence in healthcare, cybersecurity, and government-related industries.

San Antonio has played a significant role in the state’s history, with landmarks such as the Alamo, the San Antonio Missions, and the River Walk. The city offers a wide range of cultural and recreational activities including the San Antonio Aquarium, Tower of the Americas, and La Villita National Historic Village.

The “Alamo City” maintains a strong military presence in the region, with many adults also transitioning from service into civilian roles that require technology capability and alignment with workforce needs.

As the city continues to grow across healthcare, cybersecurity, and defense-related industries, employers are placing greater emphasis on individuals who can step in and contribute in fast-paced, mission-driven environments. This reinforces the importance of education that builds demonstrable skills, supports efficient progress, and prepares graduates to step into critical roles with confidence.

About the Campus

The San Antonio campus opened in 2019, marking ECPI University’s first campus in Texas. Located in San Antonio’s Northwest Corridor along I-10 and Loop 410, the campus offers convenient access for students from across the metro region.

The campus was established to support the region’s growing workforce needs in nursing, healthcare, technology, and cybersecurity. Since opening, the campus has served students throughout South Central Texas while developing partnerships with local employers and healthcare organizations to help align programs with current workforce expectations. This collaboration supports curriculum relevance and ensures programs reflect the tools, standards, and responsibilities found in today’s work environments.

Available Programs in San Antonio, TX

Hands-On Degree Programs

Our ADN program is the cornerstone of the San Antonio campus, equipping students to enter the healthcare workforce with the knowledge, clinical skills, and hands-on skills need to provide quality patient care.

With San Antonio’s strong presence in military, government, defense, and private sector technology industries, the Cybersecurity program prepares students for a career focused on protecting critical systems, networks, and data.

The Electronic Engineering Technology program supports the region’s demand for technically skilled professionals who can design, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve electronic systems. This directly aligns with San Antonio’s career opportunities in advanced manufacturing, engineering, defense, and emerging technologies.

Students have access to spaces designed to reflect the workforce, including:

  • Nursing Simulation Labs – Our nursing simulation labs are designed to reflect real healthcare environments, featuring patient simulators that support the development of clinical decision-making, technical skills, and patient care in hands-on settings.
  • Computer Information Science (CIS) Labs – The CIS lab is equipped with current hardware and software to support instruction in networking, cybersecurity, programming, cloud technologies, and systems administration.
  • Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) Labs – Our specialized EET labs provide access to electronics, instrumentation, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting equipment aligned with industry expectations in engineering and advanced manufacturing environments.

Campus Life

On campus, we have several organizations to get involved with that provide leadership, networking, service, and professional development pathways.

  • eSports Team – Students can try out for the Rams, ECPI University's collegiate gaming team, to represent the university and compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
  • Honors Societies – The Golden Key International Honour Society recognizes academic achievement and offers access to networking and leadership opportunities.
