About the Area

The Piedmont Triad sits at the center of North Carolina. The region connects Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, and Kernersville into one of the state's largest and most economically active metropolitan areas.

Healthcare, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, and logistics all have a significant presence across the Triad. High Point holds a unique distinction as a globally recognized center of the home furnishings industry, hosting one of the world's largest furniture trade events twice a year.

With such a diverse range of industries, the Piedmont Triad supports a steady base of employers throughout the region.

About the Campus

ECPI University has served students across the Piedmont Triad since 1988, making Greensboro one of its longest-standing campuses.

In Spring 2026, our campus moved to a larger 55,000-square-foot facility in High Point. The new location offers modern classrooms, simulation labs, and industry-current equipment, and places students closer to major healthcare systems that partner with several programs.

Situated just minutes from I-40 and Highway 68, the campus is easy to reach from communities throughout the Triad. Nearby shopping, dining, and services, along with its proximity to Piedmont Triad International Airport, add to the convenience of the location.

Programs Available in Greensboro, NC

Hands-on Degree Programs

Healthcare is a strong focus at the Greensboro campus. Our Practical Nursing and Medical Assisting programs prepare students for roles across the area's hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers, where demand for support staff continues to grow.

On the technology side, our Cybersecurity, Electronic Engineering Technology, and Mechatronics programs build skills in areas like network security, automation, and systems technology. These fields connect students to the employers driving the region's technical workforce.

Across both fields, students have access to specialized labs and equipment, such as:

  • Nursing Labs – Current equipment reflecting the tools and settings found in regional healthcare facilities.
  • Medical Assisting Labs – Clinical workstations aligned with physician offices and outpatient clinic environments.
  • Computer Labs – Current hardware and software supporting instruction across technology programs.
  • Mechatronics and Engineering Technology Lab – Robotics, automation systems, and programmable logic controllers used in advanced manufacturing and engineering technology.

Campus Life

Beyond the classroom, our campus offers opportunities for students to connect with peers and build community.

  • Support for Student Veterans – The Student Veterans of America (SVA) fosters a strong sense of community and support for military-affiliated students while helping them successfully transition to academic and professional life.
  • Honors Societies – The Golden Key International Honour Society and Phi Theta Kappa (Beta Pi Zeta chapter) recognize academic achievement and offer access to networking and leadership opportunities.
  • eSports Team – Students can try out for the Rams, ECPI University's collegiate gaming team, to represent the university and compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
